Product forms

Tellurium is traded in these forms

Icon Tellurium Ingots

Tellurium Ingots

Tellurium is often traded in the form of bars, ingots, or larger pieces. This compact form is particularly well-suited as a raw material for smelting processes and is used, for example, in the production of alloys and tellurium compounds.

Tellur Granules

Tellurium granules

Tellurium granules consist of small grains, or so-called "shots," which makes them easy to measure and process. They are used, among other things, in the production of alloys, semiconductor materials, and thermoelectric materials.

icon Germanium powder

Tellurium powder

Tellurium powder has a large surface area and is available in various particle and grain sizes. It is used, for example, in semiconductor materials, thermoelectric materials, and the production of various tellurium compounds.

Standard Purity Levels of Tellurium for Industrial Use

Tellurium 3N (99.9 %)

Tellurium with a purity of 99.9 % is primarily used in applications where very high purity levels are not required. These include, in particular, metallurgical applications, such as an alloying element in copper, steel, and other metal alloys.

Tellurium 4N (99.99 %)

With a purity of 99.99 %, tellurium is suitable for applications with higher material quality requirements. Among other things, 4N tellurium is used in the production of tellurium compounds, specialty alloys, and functional materials.

Tellurium 4N5 (99.995 %)

Tellurium with a purity of 99.995 % is used in applications where purity is critical. These include, in particular, semiconductor materials such as cadmium telluride (CdTe), which is used in thin-film solar cells, among other applications, as well as thermoelectric materials.

Tellurium 5N (99.999 %)

Tellurium with a purity of 99.999 % is primarily used in applications with particularly high purity requirements. Typical applications include semiconductor materials such as cadmium telluride (CdTe) for thin-film solar cells, as well as thermoelectric materials.

Tellurium 6N (99.9999 %)

6N tellurium is classified as a high-purity grade and is used primarily in demanding electronic, optoelectronic, and semiconductor applications. In such applications, the concentration of individual impurities can play a decisive role in addition to the overall purity.
